Tiger Woods was once a Tiger burning bright as the No. 1 Golfer in the world. But yes and even the best can fall including Tiger Woods. What appeared to be an external factor with infidelity and marriage breakdown also involved a string of injuries.

Tiger had it all going for him - looks, talent from young, hard-work and dedication, and a fat Nike sponsorship. Way to go Tiger.
But yes and even the best can fall, including Tiger Woods. Woods was never short of giving his all. In fact, what he made look easy was actually a consistent hard fought effort, a routine so to speak. But now that routine has been broken and time will see if Woods can reclaim his former glory.
What appeared to be an external factor with apparent infidelity and marriage breakdown also involved a string of injuries for Tiger. It was like everything was impacting on Woods at the same time, and even Woods caved in to his personal and golfing circumstances. The injury that was the most memorable for Woods was his fourth and disappointing his last US Open victory.
Woods' left leg was quite badly damaged during this particular US Open, as was the leg of another US Golfing great, Ben Hogan in the 1950 US Open.
Woods showed he was no slouch and was every bit the fighter and champion carrying his bad leg and playing a mammoth 91 holes on his fourth US Open to go down in sporting history.
Like in every sport, champions, winners, legends, like Woods, come and go. Surely, this is not the end for Tiger Woods. Never has a Golfer had such an impact on a sport as Tiger Woods. Woods was No.1 for what seemed forever.
But as Australian Golfing legend, Greg Norman, can attest, the history books can wait a bit longer with Woods needing to read Norman's trusty poem, 'Man in the Mirror'. The media would say Norman was past his best years, or was not performing well at all. But Norman stood firm and knew himself he was gradually improving and working his way back to the top for some more glorious years. Perhaps Tiger is doing the same.
Remember Norman was not exactly in the same league as Woods. So Woods would surely have more in him, that's if all that has happened to him as had quite an effect. It is up to Tiger to begin burning bright again.
