Anna Rawson Becomes Fourth Go Daddy Girl
Things are looking good for LPGA star Anna Rawson. After her little verbal faux pas in February (and perhaps in part because of it), the Australian golfer became the fourth Go Daddy Girl Wednesday.
GoDaddy.com is known for its racy commercials, especially those that have consistently been banned from being aired during the Super Bowl. This year's commercials included titillating cliffhangers of a busty woman at a mock Senate hearing getting ready to tear open her blouse and Danica Patrick in a shower scene, both of which prompted the viewer to go to GoDaddy.com to see what occurred next.
Anna Rawson, who is a model when she's not teeing up for an LPGA event, should fit right in. Back in February, in an attempt to promote the LPGA, Rawson told a radio station in Adelaide, Australia, ""They still think we're at 25 years ago when the tour was full of, you know, a lot of dy*** and unattractive females nobody wanted to watch.''
She later apologized, stating that she wasn't really giving her opinion, since she would have only been 2 years old at the time, but was only commenting on her observances of others' perceptions. Still, like any good gaffe scandal, it was heard round the world before the next day. And Rawson gained a bit of notoriety.
Not that she already hadn't gained some notoriety from making controversial statements. According to the Daily Telegraph, she told a men's magazine that she had "penis envy." She went on to say that she could never be with a woman because she was "just fascinated by what men can do with their bodies that we can't."
Which means she might not be making any girl-on-girl commercials that GoDaddy.com has become famous for, but, otherwise, with her openness about sex, she should fit right in.
Something else that makes her fit in: Anna Rawson was voted one of Sports Illustrated's Top 10 hottest athletes in 2020.
