Good Horror, Where Did You Go?
The 80's were flooded with thousands of slasher movies! All trying to catch up to the main Guy's that were dominating the horror scene. None ever could of course, and why? Because none can compare to our horror Classic's, that were, Original.
Freddy, the "Nightmare on Elm Street," dream terrorizer who had a fondness of saying
"Bitch"...a lot. With his knife fingers, he scared the crap out of millions world wide in 1984.
Thanks to Mr. Wes Craven. This was my personal favorite, and still is. My mother-in-law, went
into labor with who would eventually become my husband due to this movie. So in 2020 when the
remake, came out I was very pregnant ,and ready for my son to be born!
I decided to give it a try. Besides it was about my favorite character ever! Well, I didn't go
into labor, and I had severe heartburn, and was severely let down. They focused the attention
right to Freddy, being a pedophile, and not the scary dreams or, the funny parts of
"Nightmare on Elm Street", had. Which was what was so appealing to so very many true fans
of the franchise. But, back to the real era of Freddy, with Mr.Robert Englund. He invoked
Freddy in everyway, and really made the character come alive.
You felt sorry for him, and he was hilarious, but I bet you still didn't want to fall asleep after the very first time you watched it. Because, your "Nightmare", is a ...
Sick twisted back-woods family with serious hygiene issues,oh and they are cannibals, that will
wear your skin like the new it thing. "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," terrified people, in 1974.
Thanks to director, and producer, Tobe Hooper. The movie was supposed to be about a
"road trip home," and it turns into you forever questioning in the back of your mind when
you hear a chainsaw fire up, if it's someone working, or Leatherface, coming to try and kill you.
There is one scene that always get's me, when they try to feed their skeletal Grandma. And, that
dang hammer! Gives me a headache thinking about it. I will only speak of the original in this
article, because it's all that is worth mentioning. But thank you 'Leatherface', you've made some
of us terrified of the country side. And we question some of the country folk that stare a little
too long when we stop to ask directions to ...
Camp Crystal Lake, the place where Jason Voorhees' resides,He's the Machete wielding Mama's Boy. It's "Friday the 13th." A beautiful camp with vintage cabins, but something doesn't feel right, and that's when you remember a neglectful staff of teenagers failed to see one of the campers drowning. I would have voluntarily drowned with a mother like his. But, Jason's mother ultimately convinces him, all "teenagers must die." They are all gonna be screwing somewhere Jason, they are all gonna get stoned and laugh at you Jason, they don't believe you are real Jason... blah blah, he goes nuts and starts-a-killin' mostly people who have sex, and/or, do drugs and of course the stumblin' drunk un's who want to go skinny dipping. Leaving Camp Crystal Lake you encounter a pack of ...
Zombies, created in 1968 by the Godfather of zombies, Mr. George A. Romero. "Night of the Living Dead," was the first of it's kind. An instant horror classic, some call it a "cult classic." Out of all of the scary movies, to me, this is most likely. With all of the research they do for terminal illnesses. One of the genius scientists will eventually shoot himself up with the cure, or a loved one. BAM! Next thing you know they will be dead-ish and eating flesh/brains. So I would like to thank you Mr. Romero for pretty much creating the Horror genre. As you defeat the zombies, you notice a blonde woman walking towards you. She say's her name is Bar-ba-ra, and she has ...
