Golf Day 7 in 1 Golf Tool
A small, portable golf tool that has 7 different functions. I love the brass bristled brush for cleaning my irons.
This tool does a lot for such a small device. It measures 3 3/8" tall and 2 3/4" wide. The base of the tool is made of a hard, black plastic - it has a hole in the center with the bottle opener feature, and there are several tools coming off of each side.
This is a nice sized tool, it will easily fit into your pocket or golf bag, and it comes in handy for any person who golfs. The info that came with it claims that this tool will work as a:
* Putter rest / spike wrench
* Divot tool / groove cleaner
* Nylon brush
* Bottle opener
* Brass brush
There are only a few of these tools that we actually use, the rest are pretty useless. The spike wrench works okay for removing or replacing spikes on golf shoes, but mine are plastic and I have not had to replace any of them yet.
The divot tool and groove cleaner does an okay job of fixing the greens, and it is stiff enough to remove dirt from the grooves of my irons, but I like the stiff brass brush for cleaning my clubs, it does a better job. However, this brass brush is very sharp, and I have stuck my fingers with it (and it hurts!).
The nylon brush is nice for cleaning off the face of my driver or hybrid clubs, if I tried to use the brass brush for this purpose it would scratch the surface of my clubs. I use these two brushes more than any other of the tools. I find the bottle opener pretty useless, the only beverages we take on the golf course with us is water. I tried it on a bottle of beer at home just to see how well it worked, and I find my kitchen bottle openers more effective.
All in all, this is a handy tool for the avid golfer, and the best way for me to use it is to attach it to my golf cart with a heavy string or piece of twine. When it's in my bag it is too much of a problem to get out over and over again. I also have a soft brush attachment that is built into one of my golf towels that hangs from my bags, and this cleans my clubs, but it does not have the very stiff brass bristles that this Golf Day 7 in 1 Golf Tool has.
Overall, this is a handy multi-purpose golf tool and it makes a nice gift for that golfer who has everything.
