The Worst Dressed Actresses at the SAG Awards 2020
An evaluation of what makes these the worst dressed actresses at the SAG 2020 awards and what could be done to rectify their fashion problem.
Marisa Tomei. Both the wide gathered belt and the oversized flower on the right shoulder look tacky. The straps on the gown are inappropriate too and resemble tiebacks for a pair of living room draperies. The cream color of the dress did not do it for her, either. Marisa would have looked better in a royal blue dress or red dress to go with her creamy complexion and dark hair.
Emily Blunt. The silver gown with the side slits disappears into her skin color. Because she has an almost alabaster complexion, something brighter would have looked better on her. An emerald green dress would have looked better. Lose the black nail polish and go with amethyst or rose polish instead.
Andrea Bowen. Is that a balloon shade she's wearing? It sure looks like it. The bodice doesn't look right, either. For Andrea, a pale yellow dress with a slightly flared skirt would have looked much better on her.
Alison Pill. The dress itself is not bad but I would redesign it so that it would be strapless, with the skirt coming to the floor. I like the bodice, which reminds me of a Mary McFadden couture gown, with the pleats. Id's also make the fabric a shade brighter to accentuate her pretty strawberry blonde hair.
Teri Hatcher. That rather large, white origami style dress doesn't do a thing for her. Something a little more form fitting in light blue or light yellow would look better on her. Preferably a floor length dress with two straps or short sleeves.
Holly Hunter. The fuschia mermaid-style dress is not right for her. The actual color looks all right on her but she'd look even nicer if the skirt was straight and knee length.
Olivia Wilde. The white dress she wore tends to hang off her body like a drape, plus the location of the V-shaped waistline is positioned too low for her physique. Readjust the waistline, give the skirt fewer folds, and it would look great on her.
Jane Krakowski. The red dress she wore showed off a little too much in the chest area. That's no bodice, it looks like half a sling. The skirt part of the dress looks fine though - I'd keep that part. I'd also lose that rectangular shaped ornament below the chest line. With a redesigned bodice, it would look much better on her.
Jennifer Carpenter. The black dress she wore reminded me of the black wardrobe that Winona Ryder wore in "Beetlejuice." The ruffles don't look good on her at all. A short sleeved or strapless black dress would have looked fantastic on her.
Rosario Dawson. This dress reminded me of a first aid class where people get swathed in bandages, mummy style. Try a dress with darts instead, floor length, in cream, not silvery white.
America Ferrera. I'm still trying to figure out what that black cobweb thing is at the waist and across the chest of the light beige dress. Get rid of it, whatever it is,and opt for a rosy beige to go with her creamy complexion and dark hair.
Jenna Fischer. Grecian is not her style at all. Jenna needs something with less cleavage, preferably short sleeves in emerald green or deep purple. Instead of that necklace, a choker length necklace of diamonds would make her neck look less long.
Susan Sarandon. Susan is hanging out on top which might be fine if she was twenty, but she isn't. A higher neckline would do the trick for her.
Saffron Burrows. It's the bodice that's the issue here, which looks more like the exterior carving of a Gothic style church. Saffron can still get away with black, as can practically everyone, but the dress is the wrong style for her. Something with a V- or scoop neckline and a solid would do her justice.
Julie Benz. This thing she wore looks hideous. Who designed this thing? It looks like a pile of logs burnt up after a fire. The shoes look just as bad, too. Maybe the worst part of this dress is it makes her look shorter than she really is. Opt for something more narrow and fitted with shoes that don't have the vertical strap and she would look so much better.
