Review of the F and H Golf Club in Haxtun, Colorado
F&H; Golf Club (fandhgolf.com) is a nine-hole course located in Haxtun, Colorado, that offers beautiful surroundings and a moderate challenge to its visitors.
One outstanding feature that F H; offers that most Northeastern Colorado golf courses don't is a fabulous water feature guarding the 7th hole. The beautiful pond is surrounded by native reeds and grasses, and is fed by a winding waterfall cascading approximately 40 to 50 feet from a grassy berm. Although not necessarily defined as such, the 7th is without question the signature hole.
The cost to play at F H; is $14 for nine holes and $14 to rent a cart. At $28 for nine holes it is a bit expensive considering there are several high quality 18 hole courses in the Southeast that you can play and ride for around $30 to $40. Nevertheless, one can rest assured knowing his green fees are helping the progress of a rural community. The course also offers a driving range and putting green for pre-round practice. For locals that are interested in joining a golf club, F H; offers memberships.
Overall, I give F H; 3 out of 5 stars, and would recommend you play the course if you are in the area. The clubhouse staff and local players are friendly and always eager to offer a tip or two. Despite being a little bit expensive, it feels good knowing your recreation dollars will help support the survival of a small town golf course.
