Massager Pointers: Gloves May Defend Against Strong Vibrations
The vibrations of a massage can be a little too much to grasp. Wearing a glove may ease hand vibrations.
A hand held massage may reduce tension and soothe tired aching muscles but holding it may be less than comfortable. Even on the lowest setting a massage will vibrate. A massager can vibrate to the point that it is uncomfortable to hold no matter whether it is turned on high or low. Not all massagers will vibrate so much that they are uncomfortable to the hand. Some are quite mild. But some massagers may feel like dynamite and they can't be toned down. It's difficult to tell by the packaging just which massagers are that powerful.
Despite word of mouth or reviews, sometimes you just have to take a chance on one in order to find one that works for you. Even if you wound up with a massager that is too strong, it vibrates to the point that holding the massager is uncomfortable even on the lowest setting, you can tame the vibrations enough to make it comfortable to hold.
You can do this by wearing a pair of gloves to provide insulation against the vibrations when you use the massager. Your hand will still feel the vibrations but they won't be as strong. If you get a well-insulated pair of gloves you may not feel any vibrations. Gloves like massagers are very different. The way they are made and the material that is used can decide whether the vibrations will be strong or weak. The reverse can also be applied using clothes or a towel to the area you are applying the massager to. If the vibrations are too strong and uncomfortable over the area in which you are applying the hand held massager, lay a towel over the area and then apply the massager. You can also apply the massager over the clothes you are wearing to reduce vibrations. Or combine clothes and a towel. Lay a towel over the clothes in the massage area before applying the massager.
