1. Laura S. Walker State Park
The Laura S. Walker State Park is located in Waycross. It features an 18 hole golf course with a rating of 71.9 and a 122 slope. You may expect to pay $14 or more in green fees. The green fees include the use of a golf cart. There is also a full-service golf shop on site. The course includes three large lakes and links-style mounds. In addition to the golf course the park affords visitors opportunities for camping, fishing boating, hiking and biking. The park itself opens daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
2. Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park
The Gordonia-Altamaha State Park is located in Reidsville. It features an 18 hole golf course with a 72 rating and a slope of 130. It tends to open from 8 a.m. until dusk and a full-service golf shop is on site. Green fees start at $30 per person and include the use of a golf cart. The most economical time to visit the golf course is after 1 p.m. Visitors that arrive around that time should ask for the Twilight Special. It is usually $5 cheaper.
