an interesting game to highlight a great round of golf
When it is obvious that we have done the wrong thing, life is sure to punish us and inflict its power of regret or what have you...perhaps we may even become enraged at the consequences of our action. Acceptance is key. On the other hand when we continuously do the right thing, life is there to make things harder and challenge us. This can be explained; but I myself can smell bullshit a mile away.
Similarly, why would a higher power bestow the idea of free will upon us mortals...and then punish us when we do not say "how high sir?" when it says "jump". In any case beyond all of this rant is a point and that point is to find something to take you away from yourself for a while. Some might choose drugs. Personally I am on a beer and golf addiction. When life says jump; I jump into my car as it has requested (with an 18 pack of beer) and head to the nearest golfing facility.
A wise man once asked me if I knew the difference between golf and tennis. To entertain the man I let him explain in his own words and he said: "in tennis you want to kill the ball, in golf you want to kill yourself." Ha-ha, hoho. Keeping that in mind, beer sure helps.
After a well played game of chase the ball with a club, try the 19th hole game on for size. All you need is an opponent and some beer. Establish a goal and a par. (Say 6 beers in 1 hour) The object is to get as close to the goal as possible. Reverse golf rules apply. 5 beers means 1 over and 7 beers means 1 under. This of course is based on the 6 beer par. Enjoy the game and see how close you can get. Remember not to play too many holes and try to do any sort of functioning like driving a car.
