An Honest Review of Wolf Creek Golf Club, Mesquite, Nevada
The Wolf Creek Golf Club will never let you down if you are expecting some true and overwhelming scenic beauty.
There is no second thought about the fact that the Wolf Creek Golf Club is one among the most beautiful courses I ever played on and it will be the same way for you. If there is something that can let you down, as it did to me is the game.
The first notable thing that you must come across is the tee selection. The course in no doubt a difficult one. But the score card recommends that you can break at least a hundred when you play a realistic tee set in accordance with your abilities. The problem is that, ability will change from round to round...at least it changed for me!
Handicaps are recommended for each set for the men. You must follow the recommendations if you are on a visit simply to get a taste of the Wolf Creek Golf Club course. Why not bag some good experience rather than the horrible ones?
The course was not necessarily designed for the men. With five different tee sets, the course is definitely managed for men. The tee selections when put on card, only two sets are shown on the ladies side. What surprises me more is that the sets are the only two having ratings for women. The recommended handicaps are not shown for women as they are shown in case of men! Wanna get surprised even more? The slick yardage book has nice tips for the landing area as well as club selections but they are from the men's tees! I guess that they don't like the women golfers a lot!
Things get horrible when the tees are miss-marked occasionally. Won't you feel horrible when you walk up some stairs with a couple of clubs and find out that your tee is on the cliff which is across the way? It happened to me.
There is a lot to improve on as far as the game is concerned and the Wolf Creek Golf Club needs to go a long way to fade out the line of gender partiality (I will like to say so) so that they can attract more female golfers!
