There are two public golf courses inside Washington D.C.'s Capital Beltway in Northern Virginia. Land is at a premium, but these two courses still remain.
Pinecrest Golf Course
The first one is Pinecrest Golf Course in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Pinecrest Golf Course is a par 35, 9-hole executive course. It measures 2,462 yards. Pinecrest has something to offer novice players as well as serious golfers. It features short holes, but narrow fairways that are beautifully accented with hills and ponds.
The signature hole is Hole #8, Par 5, 480 yards. The short par features a narrow fairway with out of bounds going down the left and a flowing creek on the right. The landing area has two fairway bunkers. The challenge of this signature hole is to hit across water and over a large bunker in order to reach the green.
Facilities are complete with a full service clubhouse, pro shop and a snack bar. You can rent golf clubs and riding amp; pull carts.
Pinecrest Golf Course has a practice putting green, ten driving cages, and an indoor practice area. You can schedule group or individual golf lessons. Pinecrest is open all year and handicap accessible.
Many golfers play here whenever they are visiting in the area. Some stop to enjoy a quick round of golf when they are passing through the beltway area.
Jefferson District Golf Course
The second public golf course inside the Capital Beltway is Jefferson District Golf Course.

Jerfferson District Golf Course is also a 9-hole executive course. It has beautiful landscape with four ponds that are perfect for players who prefer walking. However, electric and pull carts are available for rent for golfers who choose to ride.The course offers a par five and some challenging par fours.
The clubhouse has a full-service snack bar and locker rentals. Their pro shop offers balls and accessories such as hats, gloves, towels, cigars, and apparel for men and women. You can even purchase gift certificates to use at Jefferson. Isn't here is always a birthday or holiday coming up?
You will find other park attractions at Jefferson District Golf course. They include lighted miniature golf, basketball courts, and tennis courts. There are also picnic facilities.
Jefferson District is open year round. Fees vary depending on the number of holes you play.
