Father's Day Gold Ball Fleece Blanket Craft Project
There is no real sewing involved in this golf ball father's day blanket, but there are scissors, so smaller kids may need some supervision. Overall though, I think kids as young as 8 should be able to make this easy homemade father's day gift.

To Make a Father's Day Goofball Shaped Fleece Blanket You Will Need:
Fleece in white
Fabric Glue
Grey fleece (only a small amount)
Scissors

You can make this blanket as small as you want, but I think a size of at least 4 feet across is great! You can make this blanket 6 feet across if you want Dad to be able to share it with the rest of the family.
Lay your fabric out on a flat surface, like the floor.
Use some chalk to trace a large circle out on the fleece. You will need two of these!
Tip: If your fleece is not wide enough to make one huge circle, then try cutting out two half circles. Ask Mom if she will sew it together into one large circle for you. It will only take one line of sewing! Kid probably could do this as well.
Your golf ball shaped pieces need to be the same size. This is two large circles of the white fleece.
Now, take your gray fleece and start cutting out small gray circles. These circles will mimic the texture on the golf ball. So, they need to be relative to the size of your fleece blanket. If you made a 4 foot circle, then try making these smaller circles 4 inches across.
You will need enough to cover each side of the blanket. To save time you could add the small circles to only one side of the Father's Day blanket.
Now, once your circles are cut out start lining them up on the large white gold ball fabric. Use you fabric glue to glue them in place.
You need to do this on one side of each large white circle.
The texture on golf ball is in lines, so keep your small gray circles in line.
Tip: Try outlining your gray circles on their edges, and then press them down on the fleece. If you kids like to sew, they could use the sewing machine to do this step!
Next, lay your fleece Golf Ball shaped material patterns outward.
Pin them together.
You need to cut 1 inch wide strips that are five inches deep into the Golf Ball shaped fleece fabric.
Tip: Cut the strips on each piece of fleece fabric at the same time. This will help you make sure that you have the same amount of strips on each piece of Golf Ball fleece.
Start tying one fabric strip from each piece of fleece together.
Remove all of the straight pins. Your Father's Day Golf Ball shaped fleece blanket is finished.
